Does the School Consider Mothers?

As a working mother, whenever my child’s school invites me to attend meetings, I always worry about how I can fit it into my already packed schedule. With household chores, caring for other children, and my job, finding time for these meetings is really challenging. Sometimes, schools expect us mothers to be present at all meetings, without considering our circumstances. But do schools take into account the situation of working mothers? Do they understand that many of us are employed and cannot easily take time off?

Moreover, sometimes the meeting time is announced only two days in advance, which doesn’t leave enough time for us to adjust our schedules.

I often feel that schools don’t fully understand the challenges we working mothers face. If meetings were held online or at more convenient times, it would be a huge help.

Being able to participate in meetings without added stress or worry would be incredibly valuable. Consistent and effective communication between mothers and schools can foster a supportive and collaborative environment. I hope that schools will be more mindful of our situations and offer more flexible scheduling options. Continuous and effective communication between mothers and schools can foster a supportive and collaborative environment.
