Abbasi Shopping Center is located in Amadegah street and was built in the seventies according to the proposed project that became a winner in a public tender. The architect Elyas Yasi Gebay became a winner of this tender and the construction works started. The main feature of the design project proposed by Gebay is a harmonious adjustment to the environment of the hotel Abbasi in a way that it seems that Abbasi shopping center is a part of the hotel.
It was said that there exists an underground passage from the Abbasi hotel to the garden pit of the shopping center that the guests of the hotel could easily cross the street underneath it and to reach this center. This way is shut today. This shopping center is an example of a successful contemporary architecture of Isfahan.
The main goal of the construction of this shopping center next to the main axis of the cultural tourism in the city, that is Chaharbaq Abbasi avenue, was to create a market for the handicrafts and cultural products and also to create a cultural environment by adding amphitheater salon, workshops and visual arts galleries to it.
