The true Child of Isfahan!

He has come all the way from Klainmashkaldan to Isfahan to carry a message to the people of Isfahan of a better life. The telegraph house became his Office, but the alleys, streets, markets, gardens, bridges, and river of the city are home to his artistic birth along with the people of the city. When his work ends in Julfa then his life begins not only in the Armenian neighborhood but all over the streets of the city.

and how sublime it is that all of this greatness in degradation looks magical to Holster’s camera lens. He loves Isfahan so much that they say that the Archbishop asks him to form a family in this city. And thereby, Archbishop advises that he should choose a spouse amongst one of the Armenian beauties, subsequently 3 years later Holster is even more Isfahanian. Maryam is considered to be a fair lover and connecting Holster even more to the city.

Of their marriage come four children, one named Lina. The balcony above the entrance to the Qeisarieh is his favorite place in Isfahan, what a historical treasure he thinks to himself. He stays there for hours, and gloriously polishes the frame he is going to take of the eastern side of the Shah’s mosque and the magnificent Qapu mansion.

He hits his pipe and looks at the square … According to Ernest Holster’s unique photographs, we know that Chaharbagh is the first three lane street in the world, and his pictures of the palace of Aeenehkhaneh and Namakdan mansion show us the artistic love we use to have.
