Throughout history, religious scholars have always had special respect for women. When injustice and cruelty was forced upon the women on purpose or unintentionally by the men, they would condemn it and they try to help in assuring and helping women.
Regarding the manner which Haj Agha Rahim Arbab had acted with a stranger woman, it has been said that: “one day, a crowd had come to Haj Agha Rahim Arbab for a woman to divorce her husband whom had gone insane. The weather was very cold and the crowd was telling the woman to stand there, while they go and ask Haj Agha Rahim Arbab’s opinion.
When they told Haj Agha Rahim Arbab about the situation, he kindly advised them to go to Ayatollah Shamsabadi for resolving this matter. When the crowd was leaving, he asked about the woman, and they told him that she is standing outside in front of the door; when he heard this, he brought his hands up towards the sky and said: “God! Please say sorry for me to Hazrat-e Zahra, because we were sitting inside in the warm room and a woman has been standing outside in the cold snow”.
The late Arbab repeated this sentence three times and asked for forgiveness from Hazrat-e Zahra. He had very special respect for Hazrat-e Zahra, in a way that he would always say the Kowsar Sura during his prayers and he would say: “I can’t not say this sura in my prayers, because it belongs to the holiness of Hazrat-e Zahra”.
