The shining star of Isfahan’s theater, started shining in this city in 1948. A shining star that never slept, and without any doubt was the representative of a large part of Isfahan’s today’s identity and culture. The name “Arham Sadr” is one of the most popular and well-known names in the field of theater.

A name that was a symbol of great manners and morals of a real Isfahani that came to the stage of the theater. Anything that happened on the theater stage, along with what was going on in his social life and relationships were just spectacular. It is said that: “one of those nights that Arham Sadr was playing, a high-ranked official was also there in the audience.

That official enjoyed watching him so much that after the play was over, he told his body guards that is wants to meet Arham Sadr and encourage him with a gift. So, arrangements were made and that official entered back stage and met with Arham Sadr. Then he handed a stack of bills to Arham Sadr.

Immediately then, Arham Sadr opens the stack of money that was gifted to him and starts to carefully count them. Those around that official were shocked and they start whispering with each other that who counts money that is a gift. After Arham Sadr hears the whispers, he then says with a smile on his face as always: “they say that even if you find money in street, you should count it”.

The fame of Arham Sadr’s plays was so much that not only Isfahani people or anyone who visited Isfahan knew about them, yet anyone who spoke Farsi and was an art lover, had most likely heard about Arham Sadr’s Comedy-Social plays and everyone wanted to go to Isfahan to watch one of his plays.

Once one of the very well-known producers in Tehran, asked Arham Sadr to go to Tehran and have a performance in his theater for the people of Tehran; Arham Sadr in reply says: “everything belongs to a certain place and if you move it, it’ll loose its significance; as the Minar Jonban should be seen in Isfahan, Arham Sadr’s plays should also be watched in Isfahan”.
