A great man as “Allameh Homaie”, when he documents the life of Isfahan’s artists, somewhere he starts to complain and object. When documents the life and art of “Mirza Abdulhossein Ghaleb Tarash”, he sighs: “I didn’t want to talk about the poverty of that man of art, who has passed away for years now, however, I wrote this part to be a lesson for those in the future and to show the level of moral degradation. I would like to add that other artists weren’t in a much better situation than Agha Abdulhossein, either.
The same injustice and ungratefulness led to God depriving this country of the blessing of art and artists and we are now suffering from art deprivation, leading to which across all Iran, we can’t find a calligrapher or a painter or ghalamdan maker or engraver as good those artists of that time. The generation of those artists has become completely extinct in Iran and even if here and there you find a artists, their marketing aspect outweighs their artistic aspect”.
