There have been four platforms in Rehnan Hammam (Rehnan Traditional Bath), and each of them had a special title:
“The Birth Platform” was a raised space on which pregnant women bathed after giving birth to their child.
“The Marriage Platform” or “the Bridegroom’s Bath Platform,” which grooms-to-be bathed on it before attending their wedding ceremony.
“The Death Platform,” which the family of the deceased bathed on it after the loss of their loved one.
“The Martyrdom Platform,” which soldiers bathed in this area before departing for war.
A special ritual called “the Mourning Bath” was also held in Rehnan Historic Bath in such a way that four days after the death of a person, the locals took the deceased’s relatives to the bath so that they take off their black clothes and symbolically end their mourning period.
