Saheb Soltan Beygom was the daughter of Hakim Nezam ul-Din Mohammad Ilchi, who was also known as Hakim ul-Molk Ilchi.
Some believe that he was an ambassador of the Ottoman Empire, and others say that it is more correct to claim that he was an ambassador of India.
Yet, some others are convinced that he was a government official, who was sent to the embassies in different countries, and because of that, he was called “Ilchi” (meaning “ambassador” in Persian).
The Ilchi Mosque was founded at the request of his daughter, Saheb Soltan Beygom.
This mosque has exquisite decorations and beautiful inscriptions in Bannai script.
In the small porch of this mosque, there is a very beautiful mihrab (prayer niche) decorated with inscriptions in a glamorous Thuluth script on azure tiles.
The Ilchi Mosque is located at Ahmadabad Neighbourhood.
