In September 1621, Isfahan was in ardour; it was burning of a pain which its turmoil caused world unrest. The greatest scholar of the time, the cherished character in the hearts of Iranians and especially Isfahanian people was ailing.

It was more than seven days that the Sheikh was sick and his conditions worsened. Finally, he passed away. Isfahanian people have heard the regretful news. They hurry towards the Naqsh-e Jahan Square. The Square is filled with crowd. The sweltering of September, the swarm of the crowd, grief and bewilderment hurt people and cause heat exhaustion. People moan. They accompany the body of their cherished Sheikh. Eventually, Sheikh Baha’i was buried in Imam Reza’s Shrine in Mashhad according to his own will.
